Greene & Schultz Hoosier Half Marathon, 5&10K
The Greene & Schultz Hoosier Half Marathon, 5&10K celebrates its 20th running in April 2026. Based in Bloomington, the event utilizes Ivy Tech and the Monroe County Parks and Recreation facilities as its central hub. The routes are designed to highlight local landmarks and the Karst Park greenway.
The event offers several distances:
- Half Marathon
- 10K
- 5K
- 1M Kids Fun Run
The 5K course leads participants around Cook Medical and the NW YMCA before returning to the finish. Runners choosing the 10K travel past the YMCA and onto the Karst Park greenway. Those participating in the Half Marathon follow the greenway through its new section, extending all the way to Ellettsville before turning back.
The start and finish lines are located at the back courtyard of Ivy Tech to accommodate parking and traffic flow. Parking is available directly beside the start/finish area, accessible via the 3rd Street entrance. Awards are presented to the top three male and female finishers in the half marathon, along with various age group awards for the other distances.
