Second Annual Hoosic River Run
The Hoosic River Run returns for its second year on September 19, 2026 at MASS MoCA in North Adams, Massachusetts. Organizers added a half marathon for 2026; the event also includes a 5K and a one mile walk. Registration is open.
Course routes feature mountain views, sections along the Hoosic River, passages by art installations at MASS MoCA, and stretches through downtown North Adams. The one mile walk follows an out and back on the 5K route.

Event pricing varies by registration period. Half marathon fees are $80 (May 1–Jul 14), $90 (Jul 15–Sep 18), and $100 on race day. 5K fees are $35 (May 1–Jul 14), $40 (Jul 15–Sep 18), and $45 on race day. The 1-mile walk is $20 for the full registration period. A $10 student discount applies at checkout for 5K and half marathon participants ages 13 to 22. Children 12 and under are free across all distances.
Packet pickup is available the day before at Building 1 at MASS MoCA and on race day at the start line. T shirts in adult sizes XS to XXL are guaranteed for those registered by August 19; additional shirts may be available on race day while supplies last. All 5K and half marathon finishers receive a commemorative medal. First place male, female, and nonbinary finishers in both distances will be recognized across age divisions including 12 & under, 19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 plus.
