Hometown Half Marathon & 5k/10k - Des Moines
The Hometown Half Marathon & 5k/10k is scheduled for May 24, 2026 at Trestle Trail, 2339 Euclid Ave, Des Moines, IA 50310. The event offers a range of distances and options for participants of different ages and preferences.

Race registration includes a custom bib, designer shirt, and a custom finisher medal for most events. The 5k and 10k have youth pricing of $17 for ages 12 and under. Chip-timing with live results and awards is provided, and pacers are available for the half marathon. Free event photos are offered and there are treats at the finish line.
The Kid's Dash is an untimed dash for children 10 and under and includes a mini bib, youth shirt, and a specifically crafted medal; a child may run without event swag at no charge. The Volunteer Then Run option asks volunteers to arrive 30 minutes before packet pickup and then allows them to run a distance of their choice. The Virtual Run includes a digital bib, mailed packet with shirt and medal, and the packet ships the Wednesday after the race.
