Home Run 5k - Americus
The Home Run 5k takes place in Americus, Georgia on Saturday, June 6, 2026. The route begins at Americus First Methodist Church and runs through a neighborhood of historic homes.
Event distances include:
- 5k road race starting at Americus First Methodist Church
- 1 mile Fun Run through the neighborhood's historic homes
- 5k Virtual Race with remote participation option
Every dollar raised by the event directly benefits the Americus Campus of The Methodist Home. The event is held in memory of a friend of the home.
Each participant receives a t-shirt and finish-line snacks while supplies last. Finisher medals are available to children under 14 and to adults upon request while supplies last.
The 5k uses the following age group categories: 0-10, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80+. The race recognizes first, second, and third overall male and female, and first master's overall male and female. Overall winners receive a cash prize and are not eligible for age group awards. All winners receive a piece of artwork created by residents at The Methodist Home.
