Home Run 5K - Americus
The Home Run 5k and one mile Fun Run take place in Americus, Georgia. The route begins at Americus First Methodist Church at 200 S. Lee St and follows roads that pass historic homes in the neighborhood. The event includes an in-person 5k, a one mile Fun Run, and a virtual 5k option. Every dollar raised benefits the Americus Campus of The Methodist Home.

Each participant receives a t-shirt and snacks at the finish while supplies last. Finisher medals are available to children under 14 and to adults on request while supplies last. Age group categories for the 5k are 0-10, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80+. The event recognizes first, second, and third overall male and female finishers and the first masters overall male and female. Overall winners receive a cash prize and are ineligible for age group awards. All winners receive a special piece of artwork created by participants at the Methodist Home.
