Holy Smokin' Jamboree 5K Run
The Holy Smokin' Jamboree 5K Run is an athletic event held at the Mother Teresa Catholic Church in Topeka, Kansas. The event features a 5K distance that is open to both runners and walkers. In addition to the main race, a free 1/4 Mile Kiddie Run is organized for children under the age of 10.
Participants can collect their race packets on the day prior to the event at Fleet Feet on Wanamaker Road, or on the morning of the race at the church location. The race policies prohibit the participation of dogs and bicycles on the course.
The event includes an awards ceremony where recognition is given to the top two male and top two female runners overall. Furthermore, awards are presented to the top two finishers in each specific age bracket. Participants must be present at the ceremony to receive their awards as they are not sent by mail.
Following the races, a pancake breakfast is provided on-site. Access to the breakfast is available through a free-will donation. A door prize drawing also takes place during the post-race activities.
