About the race
The Holiday 5K/Kids 1 Mile in Phoenix is a community fundraiser for Marines Toys for Tots serving the local area. The event is scheduled for December 19, 2026 and is limited to 250 runners. Early registration fees are listed as $35 for the 5K and $25 for the Kids 1 Mile, with prices increasing by $5 on December 1. Registration closes December 18, 2026.
The event uses a flat course that follows the canal at AZ Falls, 5802 E. Indian School Rd, Phoenix, with parking at the Lutheran church north of the park off 56th Street. The course includes a short unpaved trail section. The 5K is chip timed and has age group awards across 15 categories. All finishers receive a finisher medal and a lapel pin; bib, wristband, snacks and raffle entry are included. This edition is a medal only event and will not include shirts.
A live Kids 1 Mile is offered for children; it is not timed and has no awards. Parents may run with their child for free or register to receive a medal, and the age restriction has been removed. A virtual option is available for the 5K only; virtual participants report results through the organizer. The event is dog and stroller friendly.
