Event overview

The Hogweed Trot 10 km is an evening road race held in Yate, Bristol. The race is chip-timed and race numbers are collected from Race HQ before the start. Kilometre markers are provided along the route.

Location and logistics

Race headquarters are at Yate Town Football Club, Lodge Road, Bristol, BS37 7LE. Parking is available and entrants are asked to consider car sharing; an email with parking details will be sent closer to the event. Toilets, a bar and limited changing facilities are available. A supervised baggage drop will be provided at runners' own risk. Pacemakers may be present to assist with sub-40, sub-45, sub-50, sub-55 and sub-60 minute targets.

Course and rules

The course is described as flat and on quiet rural roads. Water is provided approximately mid-way and at the finish. Entrants must be at least 15 years old; those under 18 require permission from a parent or guardian on race day. Headphones are not permitted except for bone-conduction devices; in-ear or ear-covering headphones are forbidden. Dogs are not allowed in the race.

Prizes and results

Medals are provided for all finishers. Prizes include awards for the first three men and first three women, first male and first female under-18, and veteran categories LV40, LV50, LV60, LV70 and MV40, MV50, MV60, MV70. A spot prize of £50 is offered for a course record; current records are 36:13.7 (female) and 31:56.2 (male). Results will be posted online on the evening of the race.
