Hogsback Half Marathon
The Hogsback Half Marathon is a road race in Colebrook, Connecticut with a 13.1 miles half marathon on a USATF certified course. The route runs on lightly travelled country roads along the Farmington River and passes through the towns of Riverton, Pleasant Valley, Hartland and Colebrook. The course has a net elevation decrease of about 100 feet.
The event provides pacers, six aid stations with fluids and two stations additionally stocked with gels, electronic bib tag timing, custom finisher medals, race shirts, post-race food and a raffle. Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers and to the top three in five-year age divisions for male, female and non-binary competitors.
The event schedule includes packet pickup, a general start, a post-race celebration and an awards ceremony with a raffle. Parking is available along Durst Road before the dam; the registration tent will be located close to the start line. There is no race day registration.
Registration opens April 1, 2026 and closes September 25, 2026; the stated registration fee is $60. Proceeds from the race benefit Running for Rescues, a 501(c)(3) organization that funds medical care, transport, boarding and related support for shelter animals and grassroots rescue efforts.
