Hogsback Half Marathon
The Hogsback Half Marathon is a 13.1 Miles road race held in Colebrook, Connecticut, on a USATF certified course with a 100 foot net elevation decrease. The course runs on lightly travelled country roads along the Farmington River and passes through the towns of Riverton, Pleasant Valley, Hartland and Colebrook.
Race services include six aid stations (all stocked with fluids, two also stocked with gels), electronic bib tag timing, race shirts, custom finisher medals and post-race food. There are awards for the top three overall male and female finishers, and awards three deep in 5-year age divisions for male, female and non-binary: 18 and under, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69 and 70 +. Raffle prizes are part of the post-race activities.
Packet pickup is available on race day. Registration opens April 1, 2026 and closes September 25, 2026; the registration fee is $60. All proceeds benefit Running for Rescues, a 501(c)(3) organization that funds shots, spay/neuter, transport, boarding and food for shelter animals while they are being fostered.
