The Hochgernlauf is a renowned mountain running event held in Unterwössen, Bavaria, celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2025. This challenging race features a distance of 7.4 kilometers with an elevation gain of 905 meters, adhering to the standards set by the World Mountain Running Association. The course begins at the Bürgerzentrum “Alten Bad” and ascends to the Hochgernhaus, offering a steep average gradient of 12%.
