Sri Chinmoy Auckland Series 2026
The Sri Chinmoy Auckland Series is a nine-event running and walking series held across two park venues in Auckland: Auckland Domain and War Memorial Park (Lovelock Track). Events include a range of distances from short children's circuits to half-marathon and 10-mile races. Courses are measured and described as "Jones-wheel-calibrated" with kilometre markers, marshals, and a lead cyclist guiding participants. Aid stations supply water and electrolyte drinks at regular intervals, and lap counters are provided for the longer races.
Distances offered in the series include:
- Half-Marathon (21.1k)
- Quarter-Marathon (10.55k)
- 10-Mile (16.1k)
- 10 km
- 5.6 km, 5 km and 4.5 km
- Kids 2.5 km and 1.5 km
All finishers receive an accurate finisher certificate and post-race food and drinks. Awards include trophies and medals for open and age-group placings across the different distances. There is a strict two hour thirty minutes time limit for half-marathon and 16.1k events. Entry fees vary by age category with discounts for multi-event entries. Free car parking is available near both venues; the registration tent and start/finish area are alongside the Auckland Domain cricket pavilion and at the Lovelock Track in War Memorial Park. Secure gear storage is provided at the registration tent.
Children's participation rules set minimum ages for longer distances and require a parent to sign entry forms for under 13s.
