Hobson Fun Day 5K and 1 Mile
This event in Hobson, Montana on July 11, 2026 comprises two running races held as part of the 5th Annual Hobson Fun Day. Organizers offer a longer loop and a shorter out-and-back along county roads that begin and end at the Hobson School parking lot. New logo and colors will be used this year to mark America's 250th birthday.
Distances:
- 5K: loop course starting and ending at Hobson School parking lot.
- 1 Mile: out-and-back using the same route, all on gravel county road.
Course notes describe the 5K as including gravel and pavement segments. The first 1.5 miles of that course are on gravel county road and the final 1.5 miles are on paved road. The 1-mile event follows the same corridor for a shorter distance.
Registrations are available on paper at Grey Duck Grocery in Hobson, MT. Registration opens April 20, 2026 and closes July 11, 2026. Fees are listed as $30 for the 5K and $20 for the 1 mile. Short sleeve tri-blend shirts are included in the registration fee; registrations completed by June 27 are guaranteed a shirt. Aid stations will be available at the start and finish and at each race halfway point. Porta potties are located throughout town but not at the start/finish line. Races will be hand-timed; times and placings will be announced and awards given after the 1 mile race. A local EMT will be on site.
