Course and Series Details
The featured "Running Wolf" half marathon course begins in the Little Belt Mountains. The route is mostly downhill for the first 9 miles before turning and including several climbs prior to the finish. This race is one part of a three-race Wolf Trifecta Series, which also includes the Dry Wolf and Big Bad Wolf events. The three races do not need to be completed in consecutive years. Finishing all three earns a Wolf Trifecta Series T-shirt and a hand-made medal.
The 5K course is described as having rolling hills on a maintained gravel county road. The one-mile family fun run/walk is a flat course that begins and ends along the same route as the longer races.
