HoBOOken 5K Race
The event offers in-person and virtual options around a USATF certified 5K course in Hoboken, New Jersey, with additional activities for children. Race activities take place in the Hoboken area at 100 Sinatra Drive. Registration opens February 19, 2026 for the listed events; many race entries close April 24, 2026 while one virtual kids activity closes October 24, 2026.
Registration for the 5K entries includes a t-shirt, a medal, and access to a digital goodie bag. Virtual 5K participation must be completed between October 25 and October 27, 2026. The in-person kids run may be canceled in rain; that ticket is non-refundable and serves as a donation.
Ticket fees vary by event. Portions of the event proceeds benefit The Hoboken Shelter, a 501(c)(3) organization with a stated mission to end hunger and homelessness one person at a time. The organizer reports that since opening in 1982 at 300 Bloomfield Street the shelter provides 50 safe sleeps every night, 500 meals every day, and 1,000 showers each week.
