About the race
Winter X is a mid-winter trail-running challenge set in the Meon Valley near Meonstoke, Hampshire. On Sunday 28 December 2025, runners can choose from four distances: 10km, 30km, 50km, or 70km. The route uses well-trodden public trails, including the South Downs Way, with four out-and-back legs across North, East, West and South sections.
Courses are marked and marshaled, with chip timing and multiple checkpoints, including a central hub at The Meon Hall. The entry package includes an event T-shirt, fully stocked checkpoints, post-race food and a memento. Organized by Chalk & Mud Trail Running under TRA licensing and UKA rules.
