Course and logistics
The half marathon is a measured out-and-back course that goes via Preston village and Offley Holes Hill. The route uses country roads and includes undulating and hilly sections, with some flat sections after about 11 miles on the return to Hitchin. The course is fully marshalled and has five water stations. There is a three hour cut off time.
The race village includes food, drink and merchandise stalls, music at the start and finish, baggage drop, toilets at Race HQ and parking onsite plus town centre car parks. Refreshments are available onsite and there are places to eat in the town.
Timing, rules and prizes
Entries receive a race bib with an integrated timing chip and electronic timing with online live results. Gun times determine overall race positions; chip times are not used for race positions. Headphones are prohibited because roads are not closed to traffic. Medical cover is provided at the start, finish and on course. Prizes are given to overall podium finishers and age group winners under UKA rules. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
