Hitchin Half Marathon, Tough 10 Miler and Fierce 5 Miler
This event comprises a measured half marathon with additional 10 mile and 5 mile races plus a children's fun run. All races start and finish at Hitchin Priory and take competitors out onto country roads through Preston village and surrounding Chiltern countryside.
The half marathon course is described as undulating and hilly, with an out-and-back route via Preston and Offley Holes Hill. The course is fully marshalled, signposted with mile markers, and has multiple drink stations on course and at the finish. Medical cover is provided at the start, on course, and at the finish. Toilets and a race village with food and merchandise are available at Race HQ.
Timing is electronic with race bibs that include integrated timing chips and live online results. Finishers receive a race medal and can download a finisher certificate. High quality T-shirts are available to purchase while stocks last. An awards ceremony is held after the races.
Registration is online only and transfer rules apply. Refunds and deferrals are not offered except in cases of pregnancy or postpartum where a deferment to one of the following three years or a full refund may be available.
