Hit the Road with Hospice of Acadiana is the 7th annual memorial run and walk held in Lafayette, Louisiana, at 2600 Johnston Street. The event includes opportunities to remember a loved one; registration includes a t-shirt and a memorial sign with the loved one’s name to be displayed publicly in front of the Hospice of Acadiana office. Registration is open to ages 1 to 100. Entry fees are $30 for the 5K and $25 for the 1-mile event. No refunds, transfers, or rollovers are allowed; registration fees may be regarded as donations if a participant cannot attend or the event is canceled due to weather.

Awards are given to the first male and female overall finishers. Age group awards are given to first place male and female finishers in these categories: 19 and under; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60 and over. Packet pickup and in-person registration are available at the Hospice of Acadiana location on the Friday before the race and at the race site on race morning. The event benefits Hospice of Acadiana, a nonprofit hospice that has served more than 30,000 patients and that provides free grief counseling to the community.
