Historic Hillsborough Half Marathon and 5K
The event is the 9th annual Historic Hillsborough Half Marathon and 5K, held in Hillsborough, North Carolina at the Eno River Farmers Market and surrounding streets. The races are organized by the Hillsborough Running Club and the routes are designed to showcase local historic sites and scenic sections of town.
Course features include running past the Old Orange County Courthouse, Burwell School, Margaret Lane Cemetery, and the Occoneechee Indian Village. Both distances include one lap of the Historic Occoneechee Speedway Trail, the only surviving track from NASCAR's 1949 inaugural season, and portions of Churton Street and the River Walk, part of the Mountains to Sea Trail.

Merchandise and finishers: custom medals are provided to all finishers. T-shirts in adult male and female cuts and youth sizes are available for entrants who registered before the t-shirt deadline; female sizing guidance is noted and changes must be handled at the t-shirt table at the pavilion after the race.
Packet pick-up is scheduled at Fleet Feet Durham (Southpoint Store) on Thursday 1 October, at the Farmers Market Pavilion on Saturday 3 October, and race morning at the pavilion.
Awards will be given to overall top three male and female finishers, top three masters (40+), and top three in each age group. Parking information will be emailed to participants; listed locations include the deck by Weaver Street Market and River Park Elementary School.
