Historic Allentown 5K and Fun Run
The event is held at Heritage Park in Allentown, New Jersey, with the entire route contained inside the park. The course uses both dirt trails and the paved oval trail within the park, offering varied terrain over the route.
Distances:
- 5K race inside Heritage Park with mixed dirt and paved surfaces.
- 0.8 Miles one-lap Fun Run around the park for children and recreational runners.
Registration details for the 5K specify a fee of $30 for adults 18 and over and a discounted fee of $20 for children 17 and under. The Fun Run registration fee is $15. Online registration opens July 8 and closes September 25 at 11:00 pm ET.
Prizes will be awarded to overall male and female winners and to winners in each age bracket for the 5K. The Fun Run is organized as a single lap around the park intended for children and participants seeking a noncompetitive experience.
The event is sponsored by the Allentown Recreation Commission. The commission supports local recreational resources, property acquisition for recreation, parkland and equipment maintenance, and improvements to public playgrounds and recreation areas.
