Tucson Hippity Hop Half Marathon
This event offers multiple race distances: a half marathon, a 10K, a 5K, and the Cottontail Dash. The Cottontail Dash is an untimed half-mile fun run featuring an egg hunt, where all participants receive a finisher's medal and a shirt. Participants can bring their own basket or one will be provided, and volunteers hand out eggs to ensure everyone gets an equal amount. Parents accompanying children on this dash do not need to register. This event is limited to 500 participants.
The races take place at Brandi Fenton Memorial Park in Tucson, Arizona. The courses are on open-use asphalt and concrete trails that start and finish at the park. The event is friendly to wheelchairs, strollers, wagons, and leashed pets, but does not allow roller blades, skateboards, or motorized devices. There is no bag check, and the event happens rain or shine. The half marathon and 10K distances have a four-hour time limit.
Race-day registration and packet pickup begin at 6:00 AM. Advance packet pickup is available the day before at Road Runner Sports on North Oracle Road. All participants receive a custom medal and a dri-fit tech t-shirt or tank top. Age group awards are given for the top three finishers in the half marathon, 10K, and 5K. A pre- and post-race "Runner's Brunch" with snacks and drinks is provided. The event is chip-timed. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
