Hippie Chick Half Marathon : Champoeg State Park, May 9, 2026
The event is held on May 9, 2026 at Champoeg State Park, Riverside Day Use Area. It offers multiple race distances and related activities in a park setting with bike paths and park roads.
Distances offered:
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
- Quarter Marathon (6.55 miles)
- 5K
The course is mostly flat and scenic. The half and quarter share the first 6.55 miles; the half repeats the loop. The 5K follows the first 1.5 miles of the half route and returns to the finish. Hydration stations along the course provide water and NUUN sports drink; select stations also offer GU Energy Gels. Portable toilets are available at designated stations.
Included participant items and amenities are a Brooks short sleeve tech tee, commemorative finisher medal, live music by Party of Four, a Hippie Chick wine glass, pancake breakfast, and a beer and cider garden with a complimentary first round. Packet pick up is available at Portland Running Company in Beaverton and on race day at the park. Parking at Champoeg State Park has a $10 fee; a state parks pass may be used or purchased.
A Hippie Kid Fun Run of about half a mile is intended for ages seven and under and finishes through the main finish line. Registration is limited to 1000 entries. The event supports Meals on Wheels People. An eleven week training club is offered separately and includes coaching, seminars, and store discounts.
