Hip Hop 5K Las Vegas
The Hip Hop 5K is a community-driven running series in Las Vegas that blends hip hop culture with a neighborhood running event. The organizer notes that the event is powered by community support, donations, and sponsorships and that the date and final schedule are subject to change while funding and planning continue. The event is based at 6675 South Tenaya Way #200, Las Vegas, NV 89113.
Distances offered:
- 5K course - two loops, out and back
- 1 Mile walk or run
Course and support details describe road closures on main streets including Rafeal Rivera Way and Tenaya Way, and participants are asked to follow traffic control signs for safety. On-course support includes a fully stocked water station along the course, and a finish line aid station with water, electrolytes, and fruit snacks. A first aid kit is available at each station and turns are clearly marked.
Logistics: runners should wear their race bib on the front of the shirt for tracking. There is no gear check, so participants must carry or leave personal items elsewhere. All finishers receive a race medal; overall first male and female in each distance receive first place medals. Results and race photos are sent by email after the event, and some photos may be shared on Instagram. Some event options include a race bib, race day t-shirt, activations access, and brunch depending on the ticket type and fee. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
