Hingham 4th of July Road Race
The Hingham 4th of July road race is an annual Independence Day event held in Hingham, MA. The course covers 4.47 miles, beginning at Hingham Middle School on Main Street and finishing in Downtown Hingham Square beneath the American flag. The route runs along scenic, tree-lined Main Street with crowd support along much of the way.
Registration is available in advance online through July 3 for a stated fee and on race day for a separate fee. Number and T-shirt pickup occurs in the days prior to the event at the Hingham Recreation Center and on the day of the race at Hingham Middle School. Shuttle service is provided from a nearby parking lot to the start and return shuttles run from South Street near the CVS parking area back toward the Middle School area.
The event coincides with other Fourth of July activities in downtown Hingham, including a morning parade and the town center with boutique shops and local coffee spots. Sponsors are acknowledged for the 2026 event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
