Hill's Great Rover Road Run

The Hill's Great Rover Road Run takes place in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and offers both in-person and virtual participation options. The in-person race route follows the levee on River Road, situated across from the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine on Skip Bertman Drive. The event raises funds for the LSU Veterinary Teaching Hospital's Good Samaritan Fund to support animal care.

The event features two primary distances:

  • 5K
  • 1 Mile

Participants are permitted to enter both the 5K and the 1 Mile Fun Run. This event is pet-friendly, allowing participants to bring animals as long as they remain on a leash and are comfortable around other people, pets, and children. For those choosing the virtual option, race times can be self-submitted, though virtual times are not eligible for standard race prizes.

Beyond the running portions, the event includes several interactive activities for pet owners. These include a pet costume contest and a pet trick contest conducted via social media. The first 100 people to register receive a goodie bag. Check-in is available on the Friday before the race at the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine or on the morning of the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
