Hillingdon 20
The Hillingdon 20 is a historic road race established in 1933. Originally known as the Finchley 20, it is the oldest continuously contested 20-mile road race in the world. The event is frequently used by participants as preparation for spring marathons.
The course utilizes the roads of Ruislip and consists of four laps of a 5-mile loop. The route is marshalled and includes sections on open roads with junction crossings. The race starts near the Hillingdon Athletic Club clubhouse on Bury Street in Ruislip.

The race features chip-timing for all participants and offers professional medical support along the route. Facilities at the clubhouse include toilets, showers, and a secure baggage area. Post-race refreshments, including home-made cakes, are available for participants.
This event also hosts the Hertfordshire 20-mile Championships for eligible residents or those born in the county. Cash prizes are awarded to the top three male and female finishers, as well as winners in the V40, V50, and V60 age categories. All finishers receive a medal.
