Hill of a Race
Hill of a Race takes place on April 5, 2026 at Rabbit Hill Snow Resort in Edmonton, Alberta. Registration is available online only. Participants must read and agree to the event waiver before taking part.
The course uses groomed ski runs with uphill and downhill sections. The loop is approximately 2.5 km. There will be no skiers or snowboarders on the hill during the race. Extra traction under running shoes may be required and walking poles are permitted.
Offered distances:
- 6 hour event: complete as many loops as possible in six hours.
- 10 km: four loops of the approximate 2.5 km course.
- 5 km: two loops of the approximate 2.5 km course.
Aid station nourishment is provided. All racers receive a voucher redeemable for a one day lift ticket for the 2026 2027 ski season at Rabbit Hill and handcrafted finisher medals are awarded. Gift certificates can be purchased online.
The event raises funds for Olive Tree Projects, which operates a maternity centre in Jacmel, Haiti; net proceeds from the races are donated to this organization. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
