High Legh Robert Moffat Memorial 10K
The High Legh Robert Moffat Memorial 10 km is a community road race scheduled for 14 March 2027. The event was first held in 2008 to raise funds for the village community; Lymm Runners joined High Legh Community Association as joint organisers in 2012. The route runs largely along leafy lanes and quiet roads in and around High Legh.
The course starts and finishes on a closed road at High Legh Primary School, which also serves as the race headquarters. The school building and grounds are used for registration and provide space for refreshments prepared by the PTA. Chip timing is used for results. Volunteer organisers, local marshals and supporters staff the event.
Entry is available to runners aged 15 and over on the race date. The published entry fee is £25, with a discounted price of £23 for affiliated runners; a medal and a T-shirt are included in the entry. Entrants may choose a technical T-shirt or request a donation to the Children’s Adventure Farm Trust (CAFT) instead. Due to ordering constraints, a T-shirt is available only to those who register before mid January 2027.
The organisers publish a refund and transfer policy: refunds less an admin fee are available up to two weeks before the race, and transfers to another runner are free up to one week before the race. The event reports ongoing steps to reduce single-use plastics and to offer an opt-out for T-shirts. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
