High Legh Robert Moffat Memorial 10K
The event is a 10 km road race held in High Legh with a course that runs largely along leafy lanes and quiet roads. The race starts and ends at High Legh Primary School, where the school building and grounds serve as the event headquarters. Start and finish are on a closed road and chip timing is used for results.
The event is organised by the High Legh Community Association in partnership with Lymm Runners and is run by a team of volunteers with local marshals. The school PTA provides refreshments for runners and supporters, and free parking is available at the venue.
Entry is open to those aged 15 and over. The listed entry fee is £24.00 and there is a stated remaining availability of entries. The organiser offers refunds minus an administration fee up to two weeks before the event, and transfers to another runner are allowed up to the same cut-off.
The event includes measures to reduce environmental impact, such as reduced use of plastic bottles and an opt-out option for the event T-shirt. Participants who opt out of the T-shirt option enable a donation to the Children’s Adventure Farm Trust (CAFT), a local charity that provides free day visits and holidays for seriously ill, disabled and disadvantaged children.
