High Desert Runners Summer Cross Country Series
The High Desert Runners present an annual series of all-comers cross-country meets for Antelope Valley area distance runners held in Palmdale, California. These meets are open to runners of all ages and abilities and take place at 37720 Tierra Subida Ave, Palmdale, CA 93551.
The series begins with a coed relay on July 9 where teams of three are formed with two males and one female. That relay is followed by four weekly Thursday evening meets that start July 16 and continue through August 6, with the final date designated as the championship meet.
Main meet formats include a longer open race and a short fun run for children. The children’s event is one kilometer and is intended for participants aged 12 and under; parents are encouraged to run with their children. Registration for the listed events is free.
