The Higgins Lake Sunrise Run takes place on Saturday, June 20, 2026, in Roscommon, Michigan (106 State Park Dr, Roscommon, MI 48653). The event is organized by the Northern Michigan Children's Assessment Center. Race day includes the following distances:
- Half Marathon
- 10K Run/Walk
- 5K Run/Walk
- 1 Mile Kids Fun Run
The half marathon follows a route around the east side of Higgins Lake. It starts at Higgins Lake North State Park and finishes at Higgins Lake South State Park.
Logistics
Packet pick-up is scheduled on Friday, June 19 from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM at the Northern Michigan Children's Assessment Center (back side of the CRAF center), 112 S 4th St, Roscommon, MI 48653, and on Saturday, June 20 from 6:30 AM to 8:40 AM at the South State Park Camp Store Pavilion, 114 State Park Drive, Roscommon, MI 48653.
Published entry fees show reduced current prices: half marathon $45, 10K $25, 5K $25, and the 1 Mile Kids Fun Run $10. Prices for some events increase after December 31, 2025 at 11:59 PM EST.
