Hi-Neighbor 5K Run/Walk
The Hi-Neighbor 5K is the third annual community 5K run/walk presented by Zappos in Providence, Rhode Island. The event is free to enter and is described as family-friendly, welcoming participants of various ages. The course runs along the Blackstone Boulevard walking path, a tree-lined route in Providence.
Organizers provide free race shirts to participants through sponsorship. The event is organized as part of the City of Providence's Fitness in the Parks program and includes a post-race celebration and awards. Registration is offered both online in advance and on-site on the day of the event. Volunteers are requested to assist with various event-day tasks.
This edition of the 5K includes a tribute component: it honors a late member of the running community and seeks to raise funds to install a memorial bench at Roger Williams Park. The fundraising goal for the bench and its maintenance is listed as $5,000. The published venue information lists Blackstone Boulevard and an address of 1015 Hope St in Providence.
