Herts Hobble 2026
Herts Hobble takes place on Sunday 21 June 2026 from Baldock Scout Hut, Park Drive, Baldock SG7 6EN. There is no parking at the Scout Hut. The published parking location is Tesco rear car park SG7 6BN; use the main entrance and follow the Click and Collect signs to the rear car park.
The event offers circular cross-country routes over undulating grassland, fields and woodland to the south east of Baldock, with panoramic views of the Hertfordshire countryside.

Both courses have a minimum age of 14 years. Any entrant under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at all times. Entries opened on 1 March 2026 and closed on 13 June 2026; the published entry limit was 175. Entries are not transferable. Cancellations are refundable before Saturday 30 May 2026 subject to a £3.00 administration fee. Entry fees were listed as £15.00 for LDWA members and £22.50 for non members.
Drinks and biscuits are available at the start. Checkpoints provide snacks and hot and cold drinks, with additional water points if conditions are hot. A light meal is provided at the finish and all finishers receive a certificate. Participants are asked to bring their own mug.
Route descriptions and .gpx files will be posted on the Essex and Herts LDWA website seven days before the event. Maps covering the routes are Explorer 193 and 194 or Landranger 166.
