Herts Hobble 2026

The Herts Hobble 2026 takes place on Sunday, 21 June. It is organized by the LDWA - Essex and Herts Group. The event base is the Scout Hut on Park Drive in Baldock, SG7 6EN. There is no parking at the venue. Parking is available in the rear car park of the Tesco store in Baldock (postcode SG7 6BN).

Participants can choose between two distances on a circular, cross-country route through the undulating countryside of North West Hertfordshire.

The route passes over grassland, fields, and woodland to the southeast of Baldock, offering panoramic views.

Drinks and biscuits are available at the start. Checkpoints provide snacks and hot and cold drinks, with extra water points on hot days. A light meal is served at the finish. Participants are asked to bring their own mug. All finishers receive a certificate.

Registration opens on Sunday, 1 March 2026. The entry limit is 175 participants. Entries close on Saturday, 13 June 2026, or earlier if the limit is reached. Entry fees are £15 for LDWA members and £22.50 for non-members. The minimum age for participation is 14. Entrants under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at all times. Dogs are not allowed on the event.

Route descriptions and .gpx files will be available on the Essex & Herts LDWA website one week before the event. The Herts Hobble is part of the Essex and Herts Triple Challenge.
