Herts Hobble 2026
Herts Hobble is a countryside walking and running event based at Baldock Scout Hut, Park Drive, Baldock SG7 6EN. There is no parking at the Scout Hut; parking is available in Tesco's rear car park SG7 6BN. The routes run to the south east of Baldock.
The event offers circular routes over undulating grassland, fields and woodland with panoramic views of the Hertfordshire countryside.

Participants must be 14 years or older; any entrant under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at all times. Entries open 1 March and close 13 June or when the entry limit of 175 is reached. Entry fees are £15.00 for LDWA members and £22.50 for non members. Entries are not transferable. Cancellations are refundable before 30 May subject to a £3.00 administration fee.
Refreshments include drinks and biscuits at the start, snacks and hot and cold drinks at checkpoints, additional water points if needed, and a light meal at the finish. All finishers receive a certificate. Competitors should bring their own mug.
Route descriptions and GPX files will be posted on the Essex and Herts LDWA website seven days before the event. The 26 mile route is covered by Explorer 193 and 194 or Landranger 166; the 18 mile route is covered by Explorer 193 or Landranger 166. The event forms part of the Essex and Herts Triple Challenge.
