Hero 5K for Autism - Mohawk Harbor, Schenectady
The Hero 5K for Autism is a community running and walking event held on Sunday, April 26, 2026 at Mohawk Harbor in Schenectady, NY. The event offers a timed 5K and an untimed walk, and encourages participants to wear superhero gear as part of the event theme.

Registration fees vary by date: an early bird rate applies through February 26, a higher rate begins February 27, and a race day fee applies on April 26. Walkers have a reduced untimed individual fee and a promotional family rate for up to five people; additional family members are charged the regular rate. Pre-registration remains open until Saturday, April 25 at noon. Race day registration and packet pick up are available at the registration tent at Mohawk Harbor. Pre-race bib pick-up is offered Friday, April 24, 2026 at Fleet Feet in Albany.
A course map is provided; numbered markings on the map indicate course marshal stations, not mile markers. Timing uses gun time with ChronoTrack B-Tag, provided by Albany Running Exchange Event Productions. Results are posted immediately after the race. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in three age groups: 17 and under, 18-59, and 60 plus.
All proceeds benefit Autism Society Greater Hudson Region, a 501(c)(3) serving individuals and families across 21 New York counties. The event includes sponsors and community partners and features resource tables and on-site activities such as a photo booth, Kona Ice, and face painting.
