Hermes Half a Half Marathon
The Hermes Half a Half Marathon is a chip timed 6.55 mile road and trail race held in Lakewood. The course runs through the Rocky River Reservation in the Cleveland Metroparks and starts and finishes at Emerald Necklace Marina.
The course is an out and back on pavement, split between road and all purpose trail, and is described as smooth, scenic, flat, and fast. The event includes an Early Start Walk Corral for power walkers. Participants receive a finisher medal, a race swag item, a custom bib, and post race food and refreshments. The event also offers a Fast Last Mile incentive.
The field is limited to 500 participants. Course records listed by time include: men 35:04 (2025), women 40:51 (2022), masters men 60+ 45:57 (2022), and masters women 60+ 51:58 (2023).
The event partners with Hunger Network, an organization that has worked to end hunger and build community food resources for over 25 years. After the race, Around the Corner in Lakewood provides a complimentary Buckeye Vodka cocktail or a soft drink for those showing their race bib and offers special brunch options.
