Hermes Dead Sprint
The Hermes Dead Sprint is a Halloween themed running event held in Cleveland at McCarthy's Downtown, 1231 Main Ave. It includes a chip timed 5K run and a short children’s Candy Dash around the race site.
- 5K (chip timed, MyLaps Bib-Tag)
- 30 yards Little Monsters Candy Dash (ages 8 and under, non timed)
Registration opens July 6, 2026. The 5K has a pre registration fee of $35 and a later fee of $40. The Little Monsters Candy Dash entry fee is $15. Early packet pickup is available on October 29 at McCarthy's Downtown.
All participants receive a long sleeve race t shirt and a finisher medal. Other items planned include a commemorative race cup while supplies last, a drink entitlement for participants aged 21 and older via a bib drink tab, and searchable race photos. The event includes a post race party inside McCarthy's Downtown with brunch and drink specials available for purchase.
Additional details: dogs are allowed at the event but not inside McCarthy's Downtown. Awards for the 5K include custom trophies for top male and top female overall and custom pint glasses for the top three male and female finishers in the listed age categories.
