About the race
The Hermanus Trail Run is a two day trail running event in Hermanus held from 26 to 28 Feb 2027. Day 1 takes place on the Fernkloof Nature Reserve trails and Day 2 runs along Walker Bay Beach near Voelklip.
Available distances:
- 35 km with 1500 m elevation and four refuel stations
- 25 km with 1390 m elevation and three refuel stations
- 15 km with 790 m elevation and two refuel stations
- 18 km beach route with 30 m elevation and two refuel stations
Pre-registration and race registration occur at Fernkloof Nature Reserve and at Dutchies in Voelklip on the listed event days. Parking is available opposite the Fernkloof entrance on Contour Street. Final cut offs are applied on both event days.
Runners must carry compulsory kit, which includes a charged cell phone, waterproof jacket, food, minimum 1 litre hydration at the start, a space blanket, headlamp, whistle, a GPS device or the AllTrails app, and a reusable cup. The event is managed with environmental measures and does not provide water sachets or paper cups. Participants are asked not to bring headphones, dogs, or to litter.
