Hermanus Trail Run
The Hermanus Trail Run is a two-day trail running event held in Hermanus from 26 to 28 February 2027. Day 1 takes place in Fernkloof Nature Reserve and Day 2 runs along the Walker Bay beachfront. The event offers multiple route options across the two days.
Distances offered:
- 35 km - R1200, elevation 1500 m, 4 refuel stations
- 25 km - R1000, elevation 1390 m, 3 refuel stations
- 15 km - R650, elevation 790 m, 2 refuel stations
- 18 km (Walker Bay) - R650, elevation 30 m, 2 refuel stations
Pre-registration occurs on Friday 26 February and Saturday 27 February at Fernkloof Nature Reserve, and on Sunday 28 February at Dutchies, Grotto St, Voelklip, Hermanus. Parking is available opposite the Fernkloof entrance on Contour Street. Start venues are Fernkloof Nature Reserve for Day 1 and Walker Bay Beach Front for Day 2.
Participants must carry compulsory kit including a charged cell phone, waterproof jacket, food, minimum 1 litre hydration at race start, space blanket, headlamp, whistle, GPS device or an app, and a reusable cup. The event follows green and environmental guidelines: no water sachets and no paper cups. The organiser requests that attendees do not bring headphones, dogs, flu, or litter.
