Event
Herd The Curd is an annual running event held at Highland Farm over Labor Day weekend. The event offers two distances:
- 5K
- 10K
All runners and walkers receive cheese curds and chocolate milk at the finish line. Awards are given to age-category winners. Walkers and virtual runners are welcomed.
Charity and history
The race benefits the Michael J. Bryant Memorial Fund. The Fund was established in 2008 and is managed by the Wayne County Community Foundation; it awards grants to Wayne County residents and nonprofit organizations with documented financial need. Since the race began in 2013, sponsors and participants have raised more than $200,000 for the Fund. The 13th annual race raised $25,000 and drew nearly 375 runners and walkers.
