20th Annual NVRC/Herbie's Home Town Loop 4 Mile Run/Walk
The 20th annual Herbie's Home Town Loop is a four mile run and walk held in Bellefonte on August 8, 2026. The course is wheel measured, begins and ends at the Bellefonte Area High School track, and traverses the perimeter of the town. The event is organized as a community memorial and includes awards and activities at the track.
Awards include gift cards for the overall top male and top female, unique awards for the top three finishers in multiple age divisions (13 and under; 14 to 19; 20 to 29; 30 to 39; 40 to 49; 50 to 59; 60 and up), a special statue award for the top 20 to 29 year old, and a new Bellefonte cross country alumni award. Amenities listed for the event include refreshments, a finish line time clock, mile splits, entertainment, children’s activities, and a silent auction.
The race is held in conjunction with the Bellefonte Arts and Crafts Fair and a shuttle will run from the high school to the downtown fair. Free parking is available at the high school. Entry fee is $30 if registered by August 6, 2026 and $35 thereafter and on race day. T shirts are guaranteed to the first 50 entrants. Volunteers are also being sought for race day.
