Hendy Tunbridge Wells Half Marathon : 22 February 2026
The Hendy Tunbridge Wells Half Marathon is organised by Tunbridge Wells Harriers and takes place in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, with Race HQ at Fusion Sports Centre, St John’s Road, TN4 9TX. The race is a single-lap, anti-clockwise road circuit of 13.1 miles that passes through Southborough, Bidborough, Penshurst, Fordcombe, Langton Green and Tunbridge Wells. The course is UKA certified and has been measured for accuracy.
Course, rules and on-course services
The route is on-road and undulating, including a notable 300-foot ascent at Spring Hill in Fordcombe. Because of the terrain the event is not suitable for wheelchair athletes; dogs and buggies are not permitted and cyclists must not accompany runners. The wearing of headphones is not permitted on single-carriageway roads that are not wholly closed to traffic, but bone-conducting headsets are allowed. Water is provided at five stations on the course and at the finish. First aid is available. Pacers are provided for a range of target times. Finishers receive a bespoke medal and chip timing; secure baggage drop is supervised at Race HQ.
Entry, logistics and safety
Entry price bands are published and include earlier discounted rates and a standard rate; an on-the-day place is listed at £40 subject to availability. Minimum age is 17 on race day. There is a strict three-hour cut-off because of timed road closures and traffic management. Road closures and diversions are in place around the circuit and will be signed and marshalled. Number collection is organised in the week prior and on race morning; limited changing rooms and toilets are available at Race HQ and additional toilets are provided on course. Results are published after the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
