Event overview
The Tunbridge Wells Half Marathon takes place on Sunday 22 February 2026 and is organised by volunteers from Tunbridge Wells Harriers. The race distance is 13.1 miles and the course is UKA certified and measured by the Association of UK Course Measurers. Entrants must be at least 17 years old and be able to complete the course within three hours. The entry fee structure includes early-bird and standard bands, with an on-the-day fee listed at £40 (subject to availability). The event has donated surplus funds to local charities over many years.
Course, logistics and rules
The one-lap, anti-clockwise road route passes through Southborough, Bidborough, Penshurst, Fordcombe, Langton Green and Tunbridge Wells and includes a notable 300-foot ascent of Spring Hill at Fordcombe. There are drink stations at five points on the course and at the finish, first aid provision, accurate chip timing, a bespoke finisher medal, secure baggage drop at Race HQ and additional toilets on course. Pacers are planned for a range of target finish times. Due to road closures and the hilly route, the race is not suitable for wheelchair athletes; dogs and buggies are not permitted. Headphones are not allowed except bone-conducting types. Race HQ is the sports hall section of Fusion Tunbridge Wells Sports Centre, St John’s Road; local parking is limited and dedicated race car parks are used. Prizes are awarded for overall positions, age categories and club teams. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
