Event information

The Tunbridge Wells Half Marathon takes place on Sunday 22 February 2026 and is organised by volunteers from Tunbridge Wells Harriers. The race is a certified, measured road event of 13.1 miles (13 miles 192.5 yards) and is run under UKA licence. The event is club-run and has been staged by Tunbridge Wells Harriers for over 40 years. Race surplus has supported local charities, with around £200,000 donated over the last ten years and some free places offered to selected charities. Entry options and a range of advance pricing tiers are listed by the organisers, and numbers including timing chips are available for collection in the week prior to the race.

Course and race services

The race is a one-lap, largely on-road anti-clockwise circuit through Southborough, Bidborough, Penshurst, Fordcombe, Langton Green and Tunbridge Wells. The route is undulating and includes a notable 300-foot ascent at Spring Hill in Fordcombe. Because of the hilly nature and traffic management, the event enforces a 3-hour cut-off and is not suitable for wheelchair athletes; dogs, buggies and cyclists accompanying runners are not permitted. Facilities include bespoke finish medals, accurate chip timing, secure baggage drop, limited changing rooms (no showers), toilets at Race HQ and additional toilets on course, five drink stations on route plus the finish, pacers for a range of target times, first aid and comprehensive traffic management with temporary road closures. A designated quiet zone is offered at Race HQ and can be reserved after a runner’s entry is confirmed. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
