Helvellyn Triathlon
The Helvellyn Triathlon takes place in Glenridding in the Lake District with the event date listed as 6 September 2026 and the venue Jenkins Field, Glenridding CA11 0PB. The course combines open water, road and mountain terrain over three legs.

The swim is held in Ullswater. The bike route leaves Glenridding, follows Ullswater, climbs through Matterdale End, Troutbeck and Threlkeld, skirts Thirlmere and descends via Grasmere and Ambleside, including the climb and descent of Kirkstone Pass. The final leg leaves transition onto rugged mountain terrain and ascends to the summit of Helvellyn before returning to Glenridding for the finish.
Race formats include Individual Triathlon, Aquabike, Relay Teams of two or three, and a Sportive Wave option that uses regrouped starts and provides hot drinks and snacks in transition areas. Mandatory kit for the fell run includes waterproof jacket and trousers, a foil survival blanket, a map of the route and a compass.
