Helvellyn Triathlon 2026 : event overview
The Helvellyn Triathlon takes place on 6 September 2026 at Jenkins Field, Glenridding (CA11 0PB), near Penrith, Great Britain. The event is organised by TBF Events and offers individual, team relay and aquabike formats. Registration closes on 4 September 2026. An administration fee is applied to orders.
Entry pricing (bands shown by entry count) and a per-order fee are listed for each format. Group and combined-entry discounts are offered: a 10% discount when adding a Ripon Triathlon Festival entry and a 5% discount for two or more individual entries.
Course and distances
The swim takes place in the open waters of Lake Ullswater. The bike course follows the A592 along the shores of Ullswater, climbs past Matterdale End, then turns at Troutbeck and Threlkeld onto a section beside Thirlmere. The route continues past Grasmere and includes the climb known as "The Struggle" up to the Kirkstone Pass, followed by a technical descent to transition. The final segment is an off-road fell run over Helvellyn; the terrain is rugged.

- 59 km bike
- 15 km run
