Helvellyn Triathlon 2026
The Helvellyn Triathlon takes place on 6 September 2026 in Glenridding near Penrith. The event is organised by TBF Events and offers individual triathlon, aquabike, and team relay formats. Registration closes 4 September 2026.
Racers begin with an open water swim in Lake Ullswater. The bike leg follows the A592 along Ullswater, climbs past Matterdale End, then passes Troutbeck, Threlkeld and a flat stretch beside Thirlmere before descending past Grasmere and turning left in Ambleside to climb The Struggle and the Kirkstone Pass. After a technical descent to transition, the final segment is a fell run across rugged, off road terrain that reaches areas around Helvellyn. Helvellyn is England's third highest mountain.

- Individual Triathlon: 1.5 km swim, 59 km bike, 15 km run
- Aquabike: 1.5 km swim, 59 km bike
- Team Relay Triathlon: 1.5 km swim, 59 km bike, 15 km run
