About the race
Björn Borg Helsinki Marathon is an open city road race held in Helsinki on 28.8.2027. The event uses a one-lap course that runs on the city streets and along several shore sections, with start and finish at Meripuisto for most distances.

- Marathon (42.195 km)
- Marathon relay (4 persons, 4 x 10.55 km)
- Half marathon (21.1 km)
- 10 km
The event includes a competition class structure with general and age-group categories for men and women, automatic age grouping based on birth year, and a separate category for nonbinary runners. The minimum age for the marathon is 15 years. A live timing system records both gross and net times using a chip attached to the race number. The event enforces maximum allowed race times and cut off points along the route.
Support services described include numbered race packet pickup at the competition office in Meripuisto, free bag drop near the start and finish, multiple drink stations offering water, Dexal sports drink and select energy gels, first aid at the finish area and mobile patrols, toilets and changing tents on the event area, and shower facilities at Töölö sports hall after the race.
