Helping Heroes Veterans Day 10K
Helping Heroes Veterans Day 10K is a point to point road race of 10k held in Wheeling, West Virginia on November 21, 2026. The course has rolling hills and moves from the start in front of Bridge Street Middle School through National Road, Elm Grove, Dimmydale, Woodsdale and up to the Mount Wood Overlook, then downhill on Stone Boulevard into Chapline Street and finishing on 16th Street in front of Helping Heroes headquarters at 44 16th Street.
Packet pickup and day-of registration take place at the Bridge Street Middle School parking lot. Pre-race packet pickup is available on November 19 and November 20 at Centre Wheeling Fellowship Church, 41 22nd Street. Buses will transport participants from downtown to the start line, departing from 44 16th Street. Parking is suggested downtown around 14th Street, at Northern Community College lots, or at the WesBanco Arena parking garage; Bridge Street Middle School also offers parking but buses will not return to Bridge Street after the event.
Awards are given to the top overall male and female runners, top walkers, and top finishers in each age group for both running and walking. All finishers receive a Finisher Challenge Coin and the first 200 registrants receive a race shirt. Registration costs range from $30 to $40 and registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable.
