HELLS DELLS 50k
HELLS DELLS 50k is a trail race in Prescott, Arizona on April 25, 2026. The route totals about 30.6 mi with roughly 3300 ft of elevation gain and loss, organized as one continuous loop with an added lollipop and about 29.5 unique miles.
The course runs through the Granite Dells and includes large stretches of slick rock, many intersections and exposed sections. These features make portions of the route slower than the distance alone would suggest and increase the importance of navigation.
Support is minimal. There are two fully stocked Reaper aid stations located near mile 10 and mile 20, plus a water drop at about mile 25.5 that includes a vault toilet and a water fountain. Runners are advised to be largely self-sufficient with fluids and calories; the organizer provides a GPS file and marks intersections with arrows and color-coded flags to assist navigation.
Cutoffs are stated as 3.5 hours to the first aid station at 10 miles, 7 hours to the second station near mile 20, and an overall cutoff of 11 hours. The event begins and ends at Watson Lake Overlook and incurs the park entry fee. The race was created in memory of two dogs who passed in 2024 and emphasizes a small field and local, low‑support format. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
