Event
HELLS DELLS 50k is scheduled for April 25, 2026 in Prescott, Arizona. The race begins and ends at Watson Lake and covers roughly 30 miles with about 3.3k of vertical ascent. It is a small, low-support event with a casual, self-guided atmosphere; the organizer provides a GPS route and limited on-course support.
Course and logistics
The route runs through the granite Dells and includes technical trails, many intersections, and long sun-exposed sections. Runners should be comfortable with navigation and using a GPS watch; the course will be marked at Dells intersections with arrows and color-coded flags. There are two full aid stations at about mile 10 and mile 20 offering water, sports drink, and basic aid station food. A water drop with a vault toilet and a water fountain is located at mile 25.5. The organizer recommends carrying about two liters of fluid and being largely self-sufficient.
Registration posts a $20 fee with $15 returned at check-in; refunds minus the processing fee are available until April 11, 2026. Time cutoffs are 3.5 hours to the first aid station (10 miles), 7 hours to the second (around mile 20), and an overall race cutoff of 11 hours.
