Hell on Hogsback
Hell on Hogsback is an endurance running event held at Hogsback, 18005 Hogsback Lane, Cleveland, Ohio, in the Rocky River Reservation near Stinchcomb-Groth Memorial Hill. The event uses a looped course of 1.1 miles per lap with about 140 ft elevation gain and loss and an average 12% grade per loop. The course descends from the top of Stinchcomb-Groth Memorial Hill to the bottom of Hogsback Lane, loops around a cone, and returns uphill to the top. Each lap finishes with a short loop through the parking area and an upper single-track trail where aid stations, tents, and vendors are located.
The event operates on a donation-based registration model. The stated fundraising goal for 2026 is to raise 34,000 dollars across more than 400 registrants to support three cancer patients in need of surgical or medical assistance; the race committee will select recipients and distribute proceeds after the event. Registrations are individual challenges with minimum donations as listed:
- Kids Fun Run Challenge - $20, new for 2026
- 1-Hour Endurance Challenge - $40
- 3-Hour Endurance Challenge - $90
- 6-Hour Endurance Challenge - $120
- 12-Hour Endurance Challenge - $170
