Event Overview
The Hell of a Half Marathon & 2 Person Relay takes place in Exeter, California. The event offers a half marathon distance and a virtual half marathon option. There are also 2-person relay team categories: coed, men, and women.
Event Features
The course is described as challenging and the weather is typically hot. It is the second race in the Run The Valley Half Marathon series.
The event provides eleven aid stations offering ice, water, sponges, Gatorade, and GU energy gels. Participants are also encouraged to carry their own hydration. For the relay, a shuttle transports the second runner to the exchange zone and returns the first runner to the finish area.
A post-race party includes a Michelob Ultra Beer Garden and a stage. A free breakfast from Rushbowl and Rocio’s Catering is provided. Free race photos, race tracking via RaceJoy, and live results on a phone are included. A professional physical therapist (PRO~PT) will be at the finish line. All finishers receive a medal.
Participants receive a women's tech tank top or a men's/unisex short-sleeve tech shirt. Awards are given to the top three in each age group, overall male and female winners, and the top teams in the three relay divisions.
Beneficiary
A portion of the race proceeds supports the Alisa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation (AARBF), specifically its "Champ Camp" for child burn survivors.
