Helderberg 5K : Altamont, NY
The Helderberg 5K takes place on Saturday, July 18, 2026 at Crupe Bozenkill Park, Gun Club Rd, Altamont, NY 12009. It is the second race in the Hilltown Triple Crown series and serves as a benefit event for local food pantries and The Caring Closet.
The course is an out-and-back along scenic country roads. T-shirts are available to entrants who pre-register by July 8, 2026; pre-registration by that date guarantees shirt size, after that size may not be available.
Online pre-registration fees vary by age: ages 12 and under $13; ages 13 to 18 $23; ages 19 to 69 $30; ages 70 and over $20. Discounted rates are automatically applied at checkout to eligible entrants. Online pre-registration closes at 5 PM on July 17, 2026. Day-of registration is available for $40.
Awards include top male and female overall plus top three male and female in the following age groups: 12 and Under; 13-16; 17-19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; 70-74; 75-79; 80 and over.
The Hilltown Triple Crown Challenge comprises three races over three months. Entrants must compete in all three races to be eligible for HTC awards, which are distributed at the Altamont 5K. The HTC dates include June 20 Bozenkill 4 Mile, July 18 Helderberg 5K, and August 22 Altamont 5K. Participants are asked to bring an unexpired food or dry good item to support local food pantries.
