Heddington 5k Series
The Heddington 5k Series is a stripped back summer race set across June, July and August. Organised by Calne Running Club, the series uses a fast, flat route on quiet country lanes designed to optimise personal best (PB) potential.
Race headquarters is at Charles Willis Hall, Church Road, Heddington, SN11 0PH, adjacent to the Church of England primary school. The race starts about 100 m beyond the hall with a downhill opening section before levelling out, and finishes in Heddington at the Ivy Inn. The village hall will be manned for baggage storage and there is an aim to run baggage down to the finish if bags are left at Race HQ. Ample toilet facilities are available in the village hall.
Free parking is available near the Ivy Inn; signage and marshals will direct drivers. Registration and toilets are located at Charles Willis Hall. The event holds a UKA race permit and a certificate of course accuracy, is chip timed by DB Max, and provides suitable medical cover and plenty of water at the finish. A small entry fee covers event organisation; the series is intentionally low cost and does not provide a memento. Results are published soon after the event by DB Max.
