Heckscher State Park Marathon, Half Marathon & 5K GLIRC 2027
The event takes place at Heckscher State Park in East Islip, New York on March 27, 2027. Distances offered:
- Marathon
- Half Marathon
- 5K
All three courses are USATF certified and the marathon serves as a Boston qualifier. Course maps are provided for each distance.
Runners receive a long-sleeved shirt and all finishers receive medals. Light refreshments and All Round Foods are served after the races. A heated tent will be available at the venue. Live, text, and email results will be provided, free finish line photos are offered, and personalized bibs are available for registrations completed three weeks in advance.
Awards are given to the top three male and female overall finishers, top three male and female in multiple age groups (15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+), top male and female masters, and top three male and female age graded.
Pre-race bib pickup is scheduled Thursday, March 26 from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm and Friday, March 27 from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Runner's Edge, 242 Main St, Farmingdale, NY 11735. Race day pickup is handled by event staff at Field 2. Live online results and same-day finish line photos and video are available. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
