Heckscher State Park Marathon, Half Marathon and 5K, March 28, 2026
The event offers three distances at Heckscher State Park in East Islip, New York, on March 28, 2026. Races take place on looped courses that run on fully closed park roads. All three distances are USATF certified and the marathon is a Boston qualifier.

The course is fully stocked with water and nutrition stations. The looped format is suitable for spectators. Course maps are provided for each distance. Finishers receive a long sleeved shirt and a finisher medal. Additional on-site amenities include light refreshments and All Round Foods after the races, a heated tent, live results via web, text and email, and free finish line photos. Personalized bibs are available for entries completed three weeks before race day.
Bib pickup includes a pre-race option listed as TBD and race day pickup at Field 6. Entrants must know their bib number to pick up a bib or use the self lookup area. Registrations submitted within 24 hours of pickup receive a texted bib number within 90 seconds.
Registration fees are non refundable and non transferable. Discounted entry is available for GLIRC members, veterans, and seniors 65 and older. Awards include top three male and female overall, top three in multiple age groups from 15-19 through 80 plus, masters, and age graded awards.
