Heckington 10 Mile Road Race
The Heckington 10 Mile Road Race is a road running event held as part of the annual Heckington Show. First held in 1965, the Heckington 10 is described as the oldest road race in the Midlands. The event is presented as an athletics road race covering a distance of 10 mile and is commonly referred to as the Heckington 10.
For 2026 the race entry is restricted to 450 entrants. Chip timing is used for race accuracy and the event is organised in association with Sleaford Striders Athletics Club. The race is included within the Heckington Show programme, which is run by the Heckington & District Agricultural Society as a fundraising activity. Sponsors named for the event include Tesco Stores.
