About the race
The JCCSurvivors Half Marathon 2027 in association with Jersey Spartan AC is a road race held on tarmac roads through St Clement and the north-eastern parishes, finishing back at the athletics track. The event covers the standard half marathon distance and begins and ends on the FB Fields athletics track, with the finish located close to the clubhouse at the 200 metre mark. The course leaves the track at sea level, rises after the first mile through country lanes, descends into Gorey and returns along the coast, passing local heritage sites such as Hougue Bie, Gorey Castle and several Martello Towers. Organisers advise runners to conserve effort between Longueville Manor and Hougue Bie because the remainder of the course is generally easier. Safety measures include at least three water stations, mandatory placement of emergency contact details on the rear of race numbers, and on-course ambulance and paramedic cover provided by Normandy Rescue.
Runners may only use bone-conduction listening devices; other devices that reduce the ability to hear external noise are prohibited and may lead to disqualification. The race has a three hour cut-off at the Race Director's discretion. T-shirts are available to purchase when registering; the deadline to order is 5pm Friday 6 August 2027.
