Hearty Half Marathon 2026
The Hearty Half Marathon is a community fundraising race organised in association with Jersey Spartan AC and held on tarmac roads in St Clement and the north-eastern parishes, on Sunday 6 September 2026. The course starts and finishes on the athletics track near the clubhouse and includes an initial anti-clockwise lap and a final lap that finishes at the same point. The route undulates through country lanes, passes heritage sites including Hougue Bie and Gorey Castle, and follows the coast for sea views.
Entry is restricted to participants aged 17 or over on race day. A race cut-off of three hours applies. Chip timing is used with manual timekeepers as backup; race numbers must be clearly visible on the front, and emergency details must be written on the rear. Triathlon race belts and pinning numbers to shorts are not permitted.
Safety provisions include a minimum of three water stations on course, ambulance and paramedic cover supplied by Normandy Rescue, guidance on hydration and cooling, and a specific requirement that only bone-conduction listening devices may be used. Pavement use is generally not expected except on the coast road where runners may choose the pavement when traffic is busy; pedestrians should be shared respectfully.
T-shirts are available to order during registration with a deadline of 5pm, Friday 7 August 2026. Results will be published and distributed to entrants and on Jersey Spartan AC social channels.
