Hearts & Soles for HS Walk
Hearts & Soles for HS Walk offers both an in-person and a virtual option centered on the JW Marriott Tucson Starr Pass Resort & Spa at 3800 W Starr Pass Boulevard, Tucson, AZ 85745-5115. The planned in-person route is a short out-and-back of a few blocks from the hotel; participants may extend their walk or run in the city if they wish. Virtual participants may complete their walk or run at a time and place that is most convenient.
Participants who are not walking trails can gather in the hotel lobby to join others for conversation. Runners may proceed at their own pace. The event requests that participants bring their own water bottle.
T-shirt orders for the in-person walk must be submitted before October 1, 2026 for on-time delivery; shirts and additional merchandise can be ordered through the event’s vendor after that date. Available merchandise includes apparel and items such as toddler and infant shirts, a lunch bag, notebook, travel mug, water bottle, mug, and tote bag.
Registration is free. Donations to the HS PAC are accepted via PayPal. The event is organized by several HS-focused organizations and groups working on awareness and support for people affected by hidradenitis suppurativa.
Hidradenitis suppurativa is described as a chronic inflammatory condition that can cause boil-like abscesses and may affect quality of life physically, mentally, socially, emotionally, and financially. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
