Hearts For Heroes 5k Run and Walk
The Hearts For Heroes 5k Run and Walk is a community event organized by the Junior Leadership Class of 2026. The event takes place at the Lake-Lehman High School track in Lehman, Pennsylvania. This initiative is designed to support veterans and the local VA hospital.
The event includes two main participation categories:
- 5K Run for Veterans
- 5K Walk for Veterans
Monetary proceeds from registrations and donations go directly to the hospital to provide for the daily needs of veterans. Before the physical activities begin, a veteran will speak to the attendees.
Participants have the opportunity to receive a free raffle ticket by bringing a donation item from a specified wishlist. Registration is available online in advance or in person at the venue on the day of the event. The course is hosted on a high school track and follows a 5 km distance for both runners and walkers.
