Hearts For Heroes 5k Run and Walk
The Hearts For Heroes 5k Run and Walk is a community athletic event held at the Lake-Lehman High School track in Lehman, Pennsylvania. Organized as a project by the Junior Leadership Class of 2026, the event serves to benefit veterans and the local VA hospital. Specifically, the funds raised are donated to the hospital to provide for the daily essential items required by veterans.
The event schedule includes a speaking engagement by a veteran prior to the start of the athletic activities. Participants have the option to take part in two distinct formats:
- 5k Run
- 5k Walk
The 5k Run and the 5k Walk are held on the school track. Participants can provide support through registration fees or by providing donation items. The organizers facilitate a raffle system where guests receive one free ticket for every donation item brought to the venue or purchased through a dedicated digital wishlist.
